Next Step of Home&Life's Lantern

With Think and Try to made a trade and development our lantern .One idea is how to make it to small package may be in box but still ability .We can success now for fold and assembly easy!!
As soon as possible if we have some capital and get more trial to be firm of fold and biodegradable lantern.We wish to open the trade again with most benefit for Home&Life and our kids .In hope with the people will interesting and help to buy our lantern for celebration. Also we would help the poor people who need to get the job to do and get earn for they family as much as we can help the social too.We so much Happy!!

Save The Nature with our hands

One kind of Volunteering program in Home&Life .With teach course of made skillful for children .Not just Home&Life's kids but also village's kids that they would interesting . To attract the kids for learn and participate with our smart teacher volunteer .Some kinds of drama ,music ,dance and games.Now all children they can separate of mixed garbage .They know what kind can be recycling and make compost with classify organic,garbage,can ,glass,plastic,paper, etc as much as they can do by best which will belong to they responsibility for home social and world in understanding of the reason and result. Start at our home Home&life .

Activities Running

Several things happened in Home&Life.We aim that will be running the good things and create usefulness for our kids and also the social around us.

Every Monday ,Wednesday and Friday a week “Thai Dancing and Cultures”

skillful by Kate who is second mum in Home&Life .We already have lessons since first of January 2009 and still keep going on.With most interesting that children of us and also children in the village come to participate in this program by good comment with their parent .This not just the kids will get useful purpose which who become to our volunteer they will be in chances.

Every Tuesday a week “English Lesson” with our lovely uncle Loong Ken always come with lovely teacher volunteers. All kids at less 25 very love to learn in happiness and wish will be able understanding and speaking English.

Every Thursday a week they will enjoy with “ Easy Bakery and Cooking with Papa Root” .

Easy learning how to do and touch kind of sweetie bakery and Cooking Thai food applied. In hope just chair them get skillful and how to easy cook with fun.

Every Holiday “Funny Art and Excursion trip” With Mum Rasa who will take care their free time. Art ting ,Paint, Card ,Beach, Waterfall, Out door Open eyes etc. Most ideas by vote of them.

Every Saturday “Holiday Marketing” At Bangneang Market we learning of Marking Trade ,Earning , Shopping ,etc. And also solution the reality troubles and practice them self.

For all of activities that happening and organize with our small donation which extra from donors .But we will save and continues for long term also development by sponsor ship which we looking for some one who can support us of those programs by weekly cost is 3,000 THB!!.

Sponsor Needed - Water Supply Improvement

In a move towards self-sustainability we need to improve our well to ensure a reliable source of water for the dry season. We are looking for a sponsor to cover the remaining costs of labor and materials. Approximate cost will be 6,500THB / $US 188.

Home's "Bakery Hut"

Home & Life's bakery is off to a good start and now every week on Saturday we go to sell our cookies and banana cupcakes.







We also have one more kind of baked item we are selling. It is "Bread Bun" made with whole grains and is perfectly sweet.





Every week we will bring it to the market for sale. Some weeks we have some left over and so we enjoy them ourselves for breakfast on Sunday mornings with milk which is a very good meal and kids Love it such as "Hamburger".



Not only do we bake for the market but we are learning to make pies and cakes and etc. so on.

Eventually we would like to open our "Bakery hut " that can serve the goods made by our bakery and drinks for guest who come. This is a way can we generate income by ourself and save our home. Our aim is to become more self-sufficient.


So we welcome everyone!! to come to our house & our "Bakery hut" with warmth and happiness.

Another project this for their activity and earning .With hope and intending we have taken to our bakery .Many time with many practices we tried and got success about cookie and cups cake .

Always we being to learn more how to do other kinds of bakery which such a lot of interestings we love to learn and adaptation.

How to launch your Lantern

Using the wire, attach the torch in the centre of the open end of lantern. Make sure all 4 points are secure.

Spread out the lantern and check for holes. A couple of small ones don't matter, it will still fly.


Hold the lantern around the middle and hold a flame to the torch until it lights.

Hold the lantern upright and allow it to fill with hot air from the flame.

As it starts to rise, hold your lantern steady and let go!

Packaging for Lanterns to sell at the local market

We have been thinking of ways to package our lanterns so that we can begin to sell them at our local market, Bang Niang.

The children had a lot of fun thinking of exciting ways.

The best way we found was with recycled paper.

The children loved to show off their own individual ideas for decorating the bags.

They learnt alot about how recycling can help save the earth. It is important to us to teach the children about these things.

Next we will improve our ideas and try some different ways to package.

Home & Life's Handicraft Lantern
Beginning

November 2008. We started thinking this month of something that we could all make and sell to generate income for our family.

After a great deal of experimentation (which was lots of fun!) we decided that we could successfully make this good quality lantern.




It can fly!!! Everyone who watches it is astonished to see it rise up into the sky and it gives us all hope!

We are now very excited as we can all get involved with this new project. Our activities room turns into a small factory for 2 hours every night after school as many hands carefully put together at least 10 lanterns in many colours. We are now looking for sales opportunities and hoping that the orders come in so that our small business can get off of the ground!!!!!



We would love to hear some ideas of how and where to sell our gorgeous lanterns as we want to get small business up and running as soon as possible. The income will help feed, clothe and school our children at Home and Life.
